I am the cohost of two podcasts, The Important Cinema Club and Michael & Us. My writing has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper's, Sight & Sound, Little White Lies, Metrograph Journal, Hazlitt, NPR, The Globe & Mail, Jacobin, and many others. My book Ed Wood: Made in Hollywood USA, a critical study of the filmmaker, is available now.
I am also coauthor of Motern on Motern: Conversations with Matt Farley and Charles Roxburgh. For Toronto Today I write RepWatch, a column about Toronto repertory film programmers. I have also provided commentary for many Blu-Ray releases from Gold Ninja Video, and am co-curator (with Justin Decloux) of the Important Cinema Club Masterpiece Classics series at the Fox Theatre.
